Mould
Mould isn't just an aesthetic problem. Certain species significantly affect indoor air quality. We never begin removal without identifying and fixing the moisture source.

In Plateau triplex basements or Rosemont duplexes, relative humidity regularly exceeds 70% in summer. Stone foundations from the 1930s–50s naturally seep. It's their nature. Without mechanical ventilation, mould establishes itself on wood, drywall and insulation within weeks.
In South Shore bungalows (Brossard, Longueuil), unventilated crawl spaces are the most common breeding ground. Fibreglass insulation saturated with moisture no longer insulates. Mould colonizes the structural wood.
Our process
- Complete visual inspection: visible areas and hidden zones (behind drywall, under floors)
- Source identification: infiltration, condensation or plumbing failure
- Source remediation first: we don't start removal until the source is fixed
- Zone containment: to prevent spore dispersal
- Mechanical removal and biocide treatment
- Final inspection and documentation
When do you need a lab test?
For certified inspection with lab testing (species identification, spore counts), we work with accredited inspectors we can commission. Budget $400–$800 for a complete inspection with report.
